A Man with many hats. A graduate in commerce from Bhagat Singh College, Delhi.
From trekking tours to Mt. Kailash to Angling on Kali & Ram Ganga for years. And when he looked back found nothing which touched his soul. Taking the first trip to North East in 2006 with a point and shoot camera. As he was no birder or a bird/wildlife photographer. When he reached Nameri National Park and looked at the mountain, he felt that he found his solace. Then he knew that the place he ever dreamed of is the North-East. After months of travelling in every corner of the region, he got back to Delhi. He got himself a new set of cameras and started exploring more in birding.
And then he decided to do something for the region. And the next trip was with his wife to Assam & Arunachal Pradesh on a private tour. He fell in love and since then never stopped.
He has collected/shot photos of many rare species of birds and is one of the few in the country who has it.
He is a mentor, motivator, very positive and straight to his love for the region.
Life took Sabir into tourism, travel has changed his life and he never looked back! He is passionate about travel and he loves to share his passion with you. He enjoys organizing tours or being on a tour and being able to speak his heart and share his beautiful country and culture with some amazing travellers.
He regularly joins one of the group adventure, photo or biking tours, and he gives all he can to make each of customers’ holidays the best they have ever had. The best moments on the tour are when he realizes that customers don’t just see him as a tour organiser, but also as a friend.
He is a talented photographer aiming to capture the real India, the essence of this exotic country, its people, wildlife, landmarks, landscapes exploring every corner of the country. He is the person who keeps us updated from everything happening in the circle. He is one person who solves everything we need.
In his spare time, he likes reading classical literature, he is a big movie fan and a passionate spectator of European and South American soccer.
Daniel, born and brought up in Arunachal Pradesh, is another feather in Arunachal Birding Tours. At a very early age of 16 years, when many of his friends were studying, he started as a camp assistant in 2006 with a birding company. When birding was not very demanding in Arunachal and was only in the initial stage of bird tourism, he started leading cultural tours and has led many tours since then.
Since the inception of ABT, Daniel supported his brother with all logistic support. He is currently pursuing a degree in Tourism Management side by side and is a full-time Guide/Escort. During the last 3 years, he has become increasingly focused on leading birding tours in Arunachal Pradesh. He has all the knowledge of the area and manages all our logistics support besides looking after our camps and lodges.
No task is too big or too small for BR Sharma. For a man who has summited many peaks and climbed as high as 7000 meters, he’s a pretty grounded person who thinks nothing of turning a cook for the camp. He hails from Nepal, but given the amount of trekking he’s done in the Himalayas of India, Nepal and Tibet, he could well deserve a tri-national citizenship. India, particularly, he has covered like a man possessed, leading cycling trips in almost every part of the country, north to south, east to west for about three decades.His experience in fishing, cycling, and trekking is almost unrivalled. He’s our camp manager, cycling guide, trekking guide, head cook, senior adviser, foot soldier, trouble shooter and joke teller all rolled in one. In short, he’s the kind of work horse, the unsung hero on whose untiring back a great enterprise can be made, and we are proud to have him as part of the A E Travels family.
Nader Mibang, the head guide of our Siang Fishing Camp, is a jack of many trades. A teacher by profession, he is equally at home plucking shrubs in a jungle or reeling in the mighty Mahseer from a river. Put simply, he’s a young and inquisitive guy who loves nature. He’s done fishing since his childhood and knows well both the traditional and modern ways of angling. He’s a man of the jungle. And you’ll know that’s no exaggeration when you see him rustle up a tribal remedy with the shrubs and leaves he so loves picking off. Not least, he’s acquainted with the hospitality industry and is a friendly, soft-spoken, English conversant guy you will take an instant liking to as your fishing camp’s head guide.
Hailing originally from Dirang, Lobsang is now lives with his wife and children in Ramaling village in the vicinity of Eaglenest Wildlife sanctuary. He is very active on the local birding scene, he along with Bengia Mrinal have explored much in different part of Arunachal viz; Tale Wildlife sanctuary, East Kameng-Pakke Kesang, Pakhui/ Pakke Wildlife Sanctuary, Namdapha, Gibbon WLS, Nameri/ Manas/ Kazriang National park to name a few. He is a dedicated patch worker, never happier than when finding his own birds. He worked as a helper in the camps, listening the talks among the guides then and realise and picked up bird watching and few years later became a life long profession for him. He accompanied with many researchers as an assistant in field works in Bird Conservation and data collection. He is the expert in the area and knows what he is doing.
Lobsang also have accompanied with researchers on field research work on butterflies, moths, frogs, snakes etc. He has accompanied many top birders of the world in his carrier. He leads most of our trips in Northeast India. He has been a tour leader for Arunachal Birding Tours ever since its conception.
